Obituary for Wilhelmina Miciano Bihis Arias

Devoted mother, wife, aunt and grandmother, has become our angel above. Known to her friends as “Bobbie” or “Wilma” and to family as “Tita Baby”, she always knew how to make you feel special. She will always be remembered as a deeply loving mother to her two children Jill Anne Arias and Jamieson Kevin Arias, a warm and generous grandmother to her grandchildren, Allegra Arias-Neumeyer, Anna-Lise Carter Arias & Matthew Jamieson Carter Arias and finally as a caring and compassionate friend to those close to her.

A devout Catholic, she applied her faith in her early career as a maternity RN at Shaughnessy and Grace Hospital as well as her other passions later as a restauranteur, jeweller, and store owner helping her customers at Nutrition House in White Rock and Kerrisdale. Always looking to give back to the community she volunteered for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Vancouver Opera and numerous parent committee roles, and in her final years lending smiles and a helping hand at the gift shop at Women's Hospital Vancouver.

A courageous fighter to the very end, our mother shared her abundant and unconditional love to those around her. She will be greatly missed but her lasting memory will continue to inspire us all to live with joy in our hearts and love for one another.
