Obituary for Anna Andrijaszyn
Anna Andrijaszyn passed away peacefully on December 21, 2016 in Vancouver, B.C. Anna was taken to the hospital on November 16 having difficulty breathing and although she was looking forward to returning home she wasn't able to. Anna celebrated her 91st birthday in the hospital on December 9 and twelve days later passed away.
Anna was predeceased by her parents and her two brothers, Volodymyr and Mykola. Her loving husband, Wasyl, passed away in 1985. She missed her husband and always spoke very fondly of him. Now Anna is by his side.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Zeone (Marlayne); and her four grandchildren, Darcia Pryce, Catherine Benedict (Jonathan), Iris Lowe (Richard) and Lisa Andrijaszyn. She has six great grandchildren - Carson, Rylan, Sophia, Cael, Brynne and Hudson.
As a long time parishioner, Anna devoted a lot of her time at St.Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was a member of the choir for many years. She really looked forward to Easter Bake Sales and Church Bazaars and enjoyed working with the ladies making perogies and baking paskas and babkas. Anna was a very good cook and her take homes will be missed.
