The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maria Kennedy can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Maria Baratta Kennedy (Baratta)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 6, 2017 in Delta at the age of 53.

Predeceased by her mother Clelia. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Ella, beloved partner Grant, father Pasquale, sister Laura (Cam), brother Marco (Laura), nephews Matthew (Sarah) & Alex, Ella’s father Steve and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Maria will also be remembered by the countless young creative people that she influenced and inspired throughout her acclaimed career as a designer, creative director, teacher and mentor over the past thirty years.

The family would like to thank the loving and compassionate staff at Delta View Enrichment Centre for the care Maria received.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, 17475 59th Avenue, Surrey on Friday, January 13, 11:00 a.m., Fr. Anthony Ho as Celebrant. Private entombment.

In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully acknowledged to the Canadian Cancer Society.
