Obituary for Florence LeBlanc

After ten months in hospital, our beautiful, kind Florence lost her courageous battle against unrelated complications resulting from heart surgery.

A native of Montreal, Florence lived and worked in Toronto before settling in Vancouver in 1989.

Florence will be sadly missed by her sisters, Joan LeBlanc of Vancouver, and Patricia Boyd-Strange (Richard) of Toronto. She will also be dearly missed by her nieces, Karen Strange-Schattauer (Kevin) of Waterdown, and Lori-Ann Strange of Toronto; and great-nieces and nephews, Ashley Strange (Greg), Thomas, Marcus, Kate and Lizzey Schattauer.

At the time of her death, Florence was on medical leave from her job as the Registrar of St. George's Senior Boy’s School. She loved her work at St. George’s, her many colleagues and friends but most of all her relationship and concern for the students.

She loved to dance, her passion being line dancing and West Coast Swing.

A special thank you to all the Vancouver General Hospital ICU nurses, multiple internavists, respiratory therapists and physiotherapists as well the Respiratory Team on T12 and the wonderful Team at G. F. Strong.

God Bless you sweet Florence, you have more than earned your place with God.

Please, in lieu flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
