Obituary for Jeannine Susanne "Sue" Derksen

Jeannine Susanne "Sue" Derksen
Sue Derksen (nee Lewis) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 8, 2017. She will be missed by her son David (Sophia) and daughter Karen (Scott) as well as her grand-daughters Isabel and Kadence. She is survived by her former husband Brian, her sister Margaret (George) and brother Bill (Norma) and many loved nieces and nephews and their children.

Having children early in life, Sue took a youthful approach to raising her children. She had enough spirit to coach her son's baseball team and had the talents to make matching outfits for her daughter and her dolls. Her children will fondly remember how speceal she made birthdays and holidays.

Many of us will remember Sue for her spunk and welcoming home. Sue was fun loving and always up for a game - known for hosting card nights, murder mystery dinners or rounds of Pictonary.

She had a love for animals and lived out her dream of owning horses and acerage in Princeton, B.C. Sue was happiest outdoors and in the saddle riding.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Valley Therapeutic Equestrian Association (VTEA) online through canadahelps.org website. Charitable Registration # 11928 0824 RR0001.
