Life Story for Angelina Pfalzer

Angelina Pfalzer aged 89, of New Westminster, BC passed away peacefully on July 22,2017 at Royal City Manor in New Westminster, BC with family members nearby. Angelina (Angie) was born in Allan, SK to Joseph and Katherine Elder on October 18, 1927. She went to school at Wall Lake School House in Alan, SK. Angeline married Delmer Peek on November 3,1947 in Saskatoon, SK. Angeline and Delmer had six children. Angeline was a full-time mother and raised her children on the family's farmstead in Hanley, Sk area. Angelina and Delmer divorced in 1971. In 1977, Angelina moved to Vancouver, BC and married her second husband Richard Pfalzer on January 25, 1978. Angelina lived in the Vancouver area for the remainder of her life. While in Vancouver, Angie worked as a nanny for many years and as a caregiver for seniors as a cooking and acting companion for 5 years. She finished her working career at Carlton Cards as restocking clerk in many of the larger drugstores throughout Vancouver's lower mainland and retired at 65.
After retirement, Angelina pursued hobbies such as gardening, crocheting and sewing. Angie also had a passion for games such as cribbage and puzzling and she organized crib challenges and puzzles in her building's games room. Angelina is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Katherine Elder, step-father Adolf Lenz, her sisters Mary, Josephine, Tillie and Rose, and her brother Peter Elder. Angelina is survived by her sisters Kay Power and Wilma Yam. Her children Lorne Peek (spouse Betty Lynn), Alan and Joe Peek, Cheryl Hall (spouse David Hall), Lori Malone (spouse Albert Malone), Bonnie Merritt (spouse Corey Merritt). Grandchildren: Rhoda Baran (spouse David), Jamie Coulson (spouse Scott) and Rachelle Hall (spouse Teunis Peters) and great-grandchildren, Jesse, Alex, and Piper Baran; Hayden, Callie and Peyton Coulson; and Heidi Peters.

The family of Angelina Pfalzer wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to all the staff at Royal City Manor in New Westminster, BC for their excellent care and compassion while Angelina was under their care for the last 6 years.
