Obituary for Dorothy Dunbar

Dorothy Dunbar passed away peacefully on Sept 7, 2017 in New Westminster, B.C at the age of 96.

She was born August 20, 1921 in New Westminster and lived in the New Westminster & Burnaby areas all her life. Dorothy was an avid & prolific knitter and knit many sweaters, scarves and other garments for family, friends and neighbours. Dorothy also enjoyed travelling and visiting other parts of the world.

She is predeceased by her parents – Francis and Elizabeth Dunbar, sister in law Trudy Dunbar, nephew Rick Dunbar and lifelong friend and travelling companion Helen Schnurr.

She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Frank Dunbar, nieces Marilyn Kalyn, Carol Dunbar (Randie), nephew Ron Dunbar (Flo), sister in law Gladys Sutton, niece in law Laurie Dunbar, cousin Penny Down (Paul), grand nieces Lynette Therrien (Chris), Leanne Lowther, Tusha Dunbar, Tarja Dunbar, grand nephews Mike Therrien, Ray Therrien (Beth) and great grand nieces and nephews Denis, Kelsey, Melissa (Chris), Tammy (Robert), Marina, Dawson, Sean, Shaye, Jase, Ryly and Brody.
