Obituary for Margaret Patricia Ward

Margaret Patricia Ward
Margaret Patricia WARD March 28 1923 - October 02 2017 It is with a sad heart that I announce the passing of Margaret, my Mom. Margaret passed away peacefully at West Shore Laylum. Predeceased by her Mother, Margaret Phillips (McLaren), Father, Arthur Bernard Phillips, Brother, Robert Bernard Phillips, Sister, Kathleen Evelyn Hutchison (Phillips), Husband, Francis (Frank) Ward in 1991 and Son, Robert McLaren Ward in 2010. Margaret leaves behind her loving Son, Thomas (Tom) and many close friends.

Margaret was a kind person, eager to help others, whether it was helping at her church's food bank, bringing baked goods, giving a hug when needed or just taking someone's hand to guide them. Mom was full of love and kindness for her family and close friends. Margaret worked for Canadian Pacific Airlines from 1942 till 1957, when she married my Father, Francis (Frank) Ward and then for the Hudson's Bay Company in Ottawa from 1973, till her retirement in 1982.

Prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 10 at 7:00 pm with a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, October 11 at 11:00 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 4451 Williams Road, Richmond, B.C. Followed by interment at Gardens of Gethsemani. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
