It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jozef Orzechowski on October 11th, 2017. He was born February 12th, 1953 in Tylmanowa, Poland. He completed his Engineering degree at Jagiellonian University in Krakow and immigrated to Canada with his wife Jozefa Orzechowska (d. 2004) in 1982, settling in Ottawa and further relocating to Vancouver in 1991. He was an integral part of the TRIUMF team at the University of British Columbia. He was known for his contagious positivity and stubborn determination to enjoy life to the fullest. He loved working on cars, running, travelling and spending time with family, especially spoiling his grandchildren. He was always eager to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Anna and Kasia, his life partner of 13 years, Jolanta Delecka and her sons Thomas and Marcin, as well as his grandchildren Maks, Aria, Valentina, Andrew and Halina, as well as family and friends spread all around the world.
