GOMES, Jose Trigueiro Armas
1928-2017

Jose Gomes passed away peacefully December 4, 2017, with his loving family by his side, at the age of 89 years. Jose was born on the island of Flores, Azores, Portugal. Predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Celeste Gomes in 2013 and brother Albino in 2017. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his daughters and sons-in-law; Maria Antonia (Nuno), Fernanda (Reda), Celeste (Kirk), and Laura; grandchildren: Peter (Natalie), Kurtis (Megan), Jessica (Dave), and Katherine; grat-grandchildren: Jadis and Niana; sister Maria; sisters-in-law Maria Antonia, Etelvina and Palmira, many nieces and nephews, cousins and many family friends. Prayers will be offered Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Catholic Church, 1423 E. 13th Ave., Vancouver, B.C. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
