Obituary for Heather Mary Eadie (Smith)

Heather Mary Eadie (nee Smith) August 24th, 1949 - July 13th, 2014

It is with great, great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Heather Mary Eadie (nee Smith) on July. 13th, 2014 at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Heather was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Helen Smith, her best friend later in life Tilly Parker and her beloved furry best friend Muffin, who will all no doubt be waiting to greet her on the other side. Heather is survived by her 3 daughters Laurie Eadie, Anna Arcuri (Joseph Arcuri), Emma Eadie and her one and only grandchild Autumn Heather, her greatest joy. Heather is also survived by her older sister Hazel Smith (Mike Smith), her younger brother Scott Smith (Janet Smith), nephews and niece Blaine Smith, Caelie Smith and Cameron Smith, her life long friend Susan Wells and her former spouses Phillip Hughes and David Eadie.

Heather was born and raised in Dumfires,Scotland and like most Scots was extremely proud of her homeland, there was no mistaking her heritage! Heather had a very sarcastic sense of humour, she was also very stubborn and headstrong, as well as extremely feisty but extremely loving and caring and would go to battle for those she loved without a moment’s hesitation – think Braveheart in a designer kilt!

Heather will be deeply missed by the staff of Zion Park Manor who grew to love her off beat, quirky ways. She always kept things interesting and will definitely leave a big hole to fill in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Thank you to everyone who has sent their condolences, the family greatly appreciates them and loves to hear everyone's unique stories about the times they have shared with Heather. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July. 26th, 2014@ 2:00pm
