Dorothy Yamasaki was born in Salmon Arm, British Columbia on January 12, 1926 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 25, 2008. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Sam, brother Ken and sister Gertie (Yosh). Dorothy, a loving mother and grandmother will be deeply missed by sons Brian (Kathy), Gary (April), Warren (Sheri); grandchildren Jason, Jennifer and Jeffrey; sisters Molly, Hana (Glen), Ada (Ed), Mary (Yosh), Yvonne (Tak), brothers Tom (Ann), Wayne (Cathy); brother in law Dan (Michi) and sisters in law Kiyue and Naruyo. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful smile, her generosity, her kindness to others, her spiritual values and her positive outlook. Dorothy loved the garden, treasured moments with the grandchildren and cherished the friendship she had with so many. The family would like to thank all of those at South Granville Lodge for their loving and compassionate care.
