The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Barbara Koffler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Barbara Koffler

Barbara Koffler (Schaaf) passed away on Sept. 20, 2017 in Burnaby five days before her 94th birthday. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, and husband. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Emilie, nieces and nephews, their families, and many other family and friends. Barbara was a daughter, sister, wife, friend, aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt. She was always there; always part of our lives. Viewing will take place Sept. 28th, from 5-7 pm at Kearney's Columbia-Bowell Chapel (219 6th Street, New Westminster). The Funeral Mass at St. Edmund's Parish (545 Mahon Ave, North Vancouver) will be held on Sept 29th at 11 am with a reception in the Parish hall; interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Ocean View Burial Park (4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby). The family thanks the health practitioners and caregivers at The Burnaby Hospital and Harmony Court, and her long-time physician, Dr. Lim. Donations may be made in her name to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation
