Bill would be gratified to know that I am currently supervising someone very like myself. Bill was my supervisor for about 10 years, and I have to take responsibility for at least some of his grey hair. But we also had a lot of fun. Bill was the perfect running partner and one of my most entertaining friends. He was amazingly quick with a funny remark, usually delivered with a straight face. Those of us who cannot be at the memorial service will be thinking of Bill, sharing stories about him and raising a glass in his memory. He will live on in his grandchildren, of whom he was so proud.
