It was my privilege to be closer to Vi while I lived in Vancouver for eight years. She was so warm and hospitable, so easy to talk with, what a jewel of a person. I still feel a glow inside when i think of her infectious laugh, her easy vitality, her true love of life. We shared a love of garage sales and she would often show me a special find from her collection with a funny and interesting story behind it. I would find our visits giving me so much family warmth and unconditional love, I would feel refreshed and connected. She would send me away with these lovely feelings, and sometimes a little gift. Thanks Vi, for giving me so much. You were a truly great person. and an enduring inspiration. I want to be the best that I can be when i think of you.
